I’m Lariska, the designer behind Mie-el - a brand where timeless elegance meets whimsical romance. Let’s start with the name: it’s pronounced “Mee-el” (like a soft melody) and holds a special place in my heart. It’s inspired by my incredible parents, Mienie and Sarel, whose love and support have shaped me into the woman I am today.

Fashion has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From pattern drafting to managing showrooms, my journey has taken me through every facet of the industry. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills working with incredible clients and creating designs that turn heads and warm hearts.

 

My specialty? Crafting one-of-a-kind evening gowns, wedding dresses, and matric farewell looks that make women feel as radiant as they truly are.

 

At Mie-el, I bring together my love for couture and family. Each piece I create is stitched with a passion for detail and a deep appreciation for the people who inspire me.

 

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me spending time with my family, exploring life’s simple joys, or dreaming up my next collection.
